Two-factor authentication and backup codes
Authenticator-app codes on login, ten single-use backup codes.
Account → Set up two-factor authentication. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, 1Password or Bitwarden (any TOTP app), enter the current 6-digit code and your password. You then receive ten backup codes — shown once — each of which logs you in once if you lose the app.
Turning 2FA off needs your password and a current code. Regenerating backup codes needs your password and invalidates the old set. Staff cannot bypass 2FA; if you lose both the app and the codes, contact support for identity verification.
