Selling wine into the EU? Your bottles need an e-label.
Since December 2023, wine sold in the EU must carry ingredients and nutrition information. Most producers provide it with a QR code on the label — an "e-label". PaqLink hosts yours: compliant, multi-language, and priced for South African producers, not enterprise budgets.
What the rules require
- Wines produced from 8 December 2023 need an ingredients list and nutrition declaration available to the consumer (Regulation (EU) 2021/2117).
- Providing it electronically via a QR code on the label is expressly permitted; energy value must still appear on the physical label.
- The e-label page must be free of marketing and must not track the user — a normal marketing website does not qualify.
- It must be available in the language of the destination market.
What's on a PaqLink e-label
- Ingredients in the market's language, allergens emphasised.
- Nutrition declaration per 100 ml — energy, fat, saturates, carbohydrate, sugars, protein, salt — in the legal order.
- Language switcher, plus automatic selection from the visitor's browser.
- No scripts, no cookies, no analytics — the server refuses to emit them.
- A plain, fast page that loads on any phone on a slow connection.
Why PaqLink for e-labels
Tracking-free by design
E-label pages are served with zero analytics, zero cookies, zero scripts — enforced in software, not by policy. Producers still see a daily scan count per product, because that's a number, not a person.
10 languages, one code
Add each export market's language once; the same QR serves them all. Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands — one label run.
One code, two jobs
Your e-label QR is a GS1 Digital Link code carrying your GTIN — the same symbol is ready for retail 2D scanning as tills upgrade toward 2027.
Editable forever
New vintage, corrected ingredients, extra language — update the page any time. The printed QR never changes.
Structured editor or bulk import
Fill a per-language form with the legal nutrition rows laid out for you, or import a whole range from CSV.
Priced in rand
Every plan includes e-labels in every language. See pricing — the Free plan hosts one product with no time limit.

How it works
- Add the wine
Name, GTIN, and the ingredients and nutrition values per 100 ml. Add each market language.
- Print the QR
Download the symbol at the right size for a back label. Keep your EAN barcode where it is.
- Ship
A shopper in Berlin scans and reads German; an inspector in Stockholm reads Swedish. You update it whenever the blend changes.
Your next export label, compliant.
