What 'conforms to GS1' means (and why nobody is 'GS1 certified')

Open, royalty-free standards; our resolver passes the official test suite 27/27.

GS1 publishes the Digital Link URI syntax and the GS1-Conformant Resolver standard openly and royalty-free. Anyone may run a conformant resolver on their own domain; there is no certification programme for resolver software, so any vendor claiming to be "GS1 certified" is describing something that does not exist.

What we can show instead: the live PaqLink resolver passes every test in GS1's public resolver test suite — results and the harness are published on the Standards page and re-run before every resolver release. PaqLink is not affiliated with or endorsed by GS1; your GTINs come from your GS1 member organisation (GS1 South Africa locally).
